Founder's Note
Everyone’s journey to success has a pivotal point where they get the opportunity to change their trajectory. Mine did too.
Like many students, when I was in school, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. I didn’t have any mentors I could relate to—no one who looked like me or understood my journey and circumstances. Like many others, I thought that if I kept my head down, worked really hard, and got amazing grades, I’d be set. I was in for a rude awakening because despite my fantastic grades and impeccable work ethic, I graduated with no job offers. Zero. Nada. Zilch.
I realized I had to figure things out—and fast. I realized that to be successful during the application process and beyond, I needed to grasp the perspective of those evaluating me and what they would be looking for.
That aha moment was the pivotal moment that would change my life forever. Through my research and training, I gained admission to multiple T-15 schools and even negotiated a full scholarship for myself. While in business school, my skills and experience grew. I learned how to network successfully and became an IAP certified career coach. I mastered the art of presenting myself with confidence and authority during interviews, showcasing the value I could bring to potential employers. Upon graduating, I focused on law school, applying the relevant training and transferable skills I gained from business school.
The result? I received offers from multiple T-14 schools and secured over $500,000 in scholarships. I attended my top choice, which changed the trajectory of my future. After years of hard work and determination, I graduated and accepted a job at a prestigious Vault 10 law firm in New York City. I’m now living my dream.
